Lifestyle Fitness Coaching is professionally defined as: An ongoing and guided process of dialogue between clients and health fitness professionals. It is long embedded in the world of sports, fitness and active living.
Unlike typical fitness programs which focus solely on physical parameters (e.g., weight, body composition or aerobic capacity), Lifestyle Fitness Coaching accepts changes in personal skills, character development and confidence building as legitimate objectives. Through sports participation and active living, this approach to coaching produces lasting results and helps ensure success.
My role as a lifestyle fitness coach is to help clients formulate plans of action, which will allow them to commit to and achieve their sports and fitness goals. Without judgment and with strict confidentiality, a proper lifestyle fitness coach must help their clients examine their habits and behavioral patterns in order to honestly assess if they are aiding or hindering their progress. Mutually agreed upon routines and suggestions will be implemented and revised in accordance with each clients needs and goals.
